Box Score OVERLAND PARK, Kan.—Southeastern came back from Friday's loss with a convincing 4-0 win over Coastal Georgia to advance to the fifth-place match of the ITA Indoor Championship.
The Fire clinched the doubles point with a 6-2 win from
Piero Fernandez and
Mark Griffin in the third flight and a 7-4 win in the tiebreaker at the top flight from
Diego Menendez and
Bruno Pessoa.
Bruno Pessoa picked up a 6-2, 6-2 win at No. 1 Signles and
Piero Fernandez brought the Fire within a point with a three-set win at No. 4 Singles. After dropping the first set 6-0, he came back with a 6-2, 6-1 win.
Menendez ended the match with a 6-4, 6-2 win at Line 2.
The Fire will take on William Woods for fifth place Sunday morning at 9 p.m. Eastern.
