METHODOLOGY
“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power.”
       – Ephesians 6:10

MISSON

“To develop & enhance the athletic performance of each individual student athlete, while reducing the risk of injury through performance training.”

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES:
  • Enhance Athletic Performance
    • Develop and improve an athlete’s movement patterns through proper joint mobility and stability modalities, and excel performance attributes of strength, power, conditioning, speed, agility, balance & coordination, mentality and skill.
    • Create sport and position specific training regiments, based on scientifically proven principles, physical evaluations, season of competition, and demands of the sport.
  • Injury Reduction
    • Implement gradual adaptations to advanced progressions in a periodized program based on physical evaluations to maximize safety and performance growth.
    • Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly training loads to minimize player fatigue.  Work closely with the Athletic Training staff to create return to play protocols for athletes returning from injury.
  • Mental Toughness, Discipline & Confidence
    • Build an athlete’s confidence & mentality gained from physical and psychological improvements through training in order to compete at the highest level in the Sun Conference & NAIA.
    • Develop an athlete’s focus, discipline, competitiveness and accountability in order to avoid distractions, deterrents, or performance lapses in the individual or team.
  • Spiritual & Championship Development
    • To journey alongside each athlete in their personal walk with Christ and develop men and women of Godly character.  To challenge each athlete and create competition within a training regiment to prepare & propel teams towards a Sun Conference Championship and NAIA National Championship.
