Women’s Soccer Looks to Rebound in 2025

LAKELAND, Fla. – After a challenging 2024 campaign, the Southeastern University women's soccer team is set to make a strong return in 2025 under new head coach Skelly Kellar. With a fresh start and one of the NAIA's toughest conference schedules ahead, the Fire are focused and ready for a season of growth, competition, and redemption.

The Fire open the season at home on Friday, August 23, against Thomas University (Ga.) at 7 p.m. at the SEU soccer field. Southeastern defeated the Night
Hawks in last year's season opener and will look to extend its winning streak against Thomas to nine consecutive matches.

The Fire head north for two important games against ranked opponents, No. 22 Truett McConnell (Sept. 3) and No. 23 Georgia Gwinnett (Sept. 5).
The Sun Conference schedule opens with two matches on the road, with a September 13 match at New College of Florida followed by a game at Ave Maria on
September 20.

The Fire open their home conference schedule on Tuesday, September 24, in a highly anticipated home match against No. 2 Keiser University, a perennial Sun Conference and national contender. The two teams will meet again in West Palm Beach on October 15 at 11 a.m.

Another huge matchup follows shortly after as Southeastern visits Savannah, Ga., to take on NAIA No. 1 SCAD-Savannah, the reigning Sun Conference Tournament
and NAIA National Champions, on October 8 at 7 p.m.

The Fire will celebrate Senior Day on October 25 with a 7 p.m. home match against Warner University, before wrapping up the regular season on the road at St. Thomas on October 29.

With both the No. 1 and No. 2 teams in the country on the schedule, the Fire are primed for a competitive and exciting season as they enter a new chapter.
