LAKELAND, Fla. — Southeastern University women's soccer delivered a dominant performance Tuesday night, defeating Edward Waters 7-0 on the SEU Soccer Field.

The Fire wasted little time getting on the scoreboard. Sara Irurozki opened the scoring in the fourth minute, volleying the ball into the back of the net after Eden Greenfield headed it into her path. Just four minutes later, Irurozki found the back of the net again, this time assisted by Momo Sato and Olivia Hadad.

The Fire continued to apply pressure throughout the opening half, with Greenfield extending the lead to 3-0 in the 22nd minute off assists from Hadad and Irurozki. Irurozki then found the back of the net twice more in the following seven minutes, completing a four-goal first half and bringing her season total to seven.

Hadad added another goal just before halftime, scoring in the 40th minute off assists from Sato and Nerea Genc. The Fire entered the break with a commanding 6-0 advantage.

Southeastern continued to control the match in the second half, holding Edward Waters scoreless while creating several more opportunities. Nerea Hernandez capped the scoring in the 76th minute, recording her first goal of the season off an assist from Greenfield.

The Fire finished the night with 25 shots, including 16 on target, compared to 11 shots and four shots on goal for Edward Waters. SEU also held a 3-1 advantage in corner kicks.

Madison Songer recorded four saves during the first half before Jordyn Velasco entered in the second half as the Fire completed the shutout.

With the 7-0 victory, the No. 13 Fire improved to 5-2-1 on the season. SEU will look to carry the momentum into its huge home bout on September 24, as they host No. 22 Georgia Gwinnett at 7 p.m..
