Fire men's tennis handled the Senior Day opposition this afternoon, handing the Florida National Conquistadors another season loss, dropping them to 1-11. The Fire dominated in all levels, securing a 4-0 victory and advancing to 14-4 on the season.
 
    Doubles started, and in quick succession the Fire downed the Conquistadors. Fourth-ranked 
Diego Menendez and 
Bruno Pessoa blanked their opponent in flight one, and the newly ranked at 49 
Alejandro Orihuela and Victor Pilla took care of their competition in a 6-2 effort in flight two.
 
    The last contest in doubles went unfinished with 21st ranked 
Mark Griffin and 
Piero Fernandez holding a 5-2 lead in flight three.
 
    Singles was much of the same recipe for the Fire, not dropping a single set. the most Florida National scored in a set was three. Senior Griffin secured the first singles contest for Southeastern, shutting out his opponent in line five in quick succession 6-0, 6-0. No.14 Menendez nearly replicated the success from Griffin in line two, dominating his two sets 6-1, 6-1.
 
    The series clincher came courtesy of Fernandez who finished soon after Menendez, going the distance with a 6-2, 6-1 victory in line four.
 
    Lines one, three, and six went unfinished with each Fire member claiming the first sets and either holding a lead or tied in the second set. #19 Pessoa was up 6-2, 2-2, Orihuela led 6-0, 3-2, and senior 
Federico Boscolo was ahead 6-3, 2-1.
 
    The Fire return to action in Miami Gardens to complete a match that was rescheduled from earlier in the season. St. Thomas welcomes the Fire to their home courts on April 6, first serve time is yet to be announced.
