COHUTTA, Ga.—The 22nd-ranked women's golf team of Southeastern University tied for fifth at the Dalton State Roadrunner Invitational over the weekend, joining three other Top 25 teams in the field.
The Fire match Cumberland University with a 54-hole team score of 959, compiling individual round scores of 319, 327, and 313.
Leading the way for the Fire was two-time All-American
Ana Uribe, who had her best round of the fall with a 54-hole score of 227, tying for third overall and earning all-tournament recognition. In the second round, Uribe had her best 18-hole score of the fall with a two-over 74. The senior from Columbia opened the tournament with a 77, and closed with a 76.
Valentina Espinosa tied for 24
th with a score of 240 (83-80-77), and was followed by sophomore
Brianna Farrell in a tie for 28
th (75-87-81) with a score of 243.
Brooke Wetzel was six shots back of Farrell in 37
th place with a total of 249 (84-86-79), and
Annalee Barnett was 44
th with a score of 266 (92-87-87).
Southeastern will close its fall season starting Monday at the Adamonis Invitational at Trump National Doral.
