The Fire:

Southeastern is coming off of a massive 2-1 victory over Ave Maria last week that secured a first-round bye in the postseason. SEU's offense, which has recorded at least one goal in every contest this year, ranks 30th in the country in goals per game (2.9). The prolific offense has averaged 3.5 goals per home match this season, outscoring teams 21-6 in Lakeland, while going a perfect 6-0 in those competitions.

Despite going 2-2 in their last four matches, the Fire have still put up notable numbers. Southeastern registered multi-goal efforts in three of the four games, led by forward Jake Van Der Luit, who scored in all four. The senior has now collected at least one goal in seven of the past eight contests. Van Der Luit ranks 14th in the NAIA in goals per game, averaging exactly one goal every match.

Johnson & Wales:

The Wildcats have won their last two matches, each road conference contests, to advance to the semifinal round of the postseason tournament. JWU has been marvelous in the games the team has won, scoring at least three goals in every victory in 2018. Meanwhile, when Johnson & Wales is held to a single goal, the squad is 0-6.

Forward Fernando Arzeno has come alive for the Wildcats the past two competitions. In the games, the freshman has notched an impressive five tallies. The cluster of five goals allowed Arzeno to pull away from his teammates with a squad-high 12 scores this year. JWU is 6-1 when the Buenos Aires, Argentina native scores.

Previous Meetings:

The Fire and the Wildcats have met ten times since Southeastern joined the Sun Conference in 2009. Of those ten matches, SEU has been victorious in seven. In every meeting in program history, Southeastern has scored at least two goals. Earlier this season, the Fire defeated Johnson & Wales 4-1, largely thanks to a hat-trick by Craig Barker.
