LAKELAND, Fla. – Southeastern University men's soccer delivered a strong performance Friday night, shutting out Florida College 3-0 on the SEU Soccer Field.

The Fire wasted no time finding the back of the net, with Koren Klein opening the scoring in the sixth minute. Klein headed in the goal off a beautiful cross from Pablo Lobon who had received it moments earlier from JP Quaresma, giving SEU the early 1-0 advantage.

Just four minutes later, he struck again, extending the Fire's lead to 2-0. Klein's left foot found the back of the net off a free kick, giving the sophomore forward his fifth and sixth goals of the 2026 season in the opening 11 minutes.

SEU continued to control the match throughout the opening half, recording 13 shots compared to just one from Florida College. The team also earned five corner kicks while holding the Falcons scoreless.

The Fire maintained its two-goal advantage through the second half while continuing to pressure the Florida College defense. SEU added an insurance goal in the 89th minute when Thomas Hardouin converted a penalty kick to make it 3-0.

Defensively, SEU held Florida College without a shot on goal. Noah Murray-Hawkins played all 90 minutes in goal to earn the shutout.

The group finished the match with 24 shots, including 13 on target, while limiting Florida College to just one total shot.

With the victory, the Fire improved to 6-1-1 on the season, while Florida College fell to 1-7-2.

It's the start of Sun Conference play next for the Fire, as they head to Ave Maria on Sept. 30, kicking off at 6 p.m..
