LAKELAND, Fla. -- It did not take long for Southeastern to rebound from last weeks loss, dominating at home, and blanking Ave Maria 4-0.
The Fire (10-3, 3-1 SUN) quickly claimed the doubles point, needing only one flight as Ave Maria had a five man roster. The new pairing of
Piero Fernandez and
Aristeidis Lafazanos rolled to a 6-1 victory on flight one to ensure an early 2-0 advantage, as the Gyrenes also had to forfeit a line in singles.
Another new pairing of
Gustavo Rubio and
Pedro De La Riva led 4-2 on flight two as doubles play was stopped.

Gonzalo Fernandez, delivered a convincing 6-2, 6-1 win at line three, giving the Fire match point. And
Nikolas Kumria continued his sensational season, recording a 6-0, 6-2 victory on line five securing the match. In doing so, he advanced his own personal record to 7-0.
Pedro De La Riva took the first set in his duel on line two, and Lafazanos was a game away from a individual victory up 6-2, 5-2. The Gyrenes lone bright spot came on the top flight, as Joao Almeida had secured the first set 7-6 (8-6) from No. 20
