SENIOR (2025-26): Rubio was given an opportunity in doubles, and he took it by the horns. Turning into one of the most successful doubles teams in the NAIA. With Pedro De La Riva, they created the No. 37 doubles team in the NAIA. Going 6-1, with their only loss being to the No. 13 doubles team in the NAIA. In the 4-0 win over Coastal Georgia, they defeated the No. 8 NAIA doubles team by a score of 6-4. Him and De La Riva did not lose their court in the second consecutive run to the NAIA National Tournament Semifinals. He matched his doubles success with classroom success, earning Sun Conference All-Academic and NAIA Daktronic Scholar-Athlete.

JUNIOR (2024-25): Rubio played in five matches, five doubles matches, and one in singles. His only singles match resulted in a 6-1, 6-1 win at line six as Southeastern defeated #24 Ave Maria 4-0. His first doubles win came over Davenport University as with Sam Reeder, they secured a 6-3 flight three victory. He was noticed for his academic success, earning Sun Conference All-Academic and NAIA Daktronic Scholar-Athlete.

SOPHOMORE (2024): Rubio notched a 2-1 record in singles, and a 1-0 record in doubles. His three games in singles were on lines three, four, and six. His line three win was a 6-1, 6-2 victory over his opponent from Adrian College. With Federico Boscolo he won 7-5 over Adrian College in flight two. His excellence in his studies was rewarded with NAIA Daktronics Scholar-Athlete and Sun Conference All-Academic.

PERSONAL: Son of Ana and Rodrigo. Brother Felipe plays tennis at Mars Hill University.
