GAINESVILLE, Fla.—Southeastern scored 315.5 points thanks to 11 individual Sun Conference champions to run away with their fourth-straight Sun Conference Indoor Track and Field title.
Irmiris Mendez was the most valuable performer with 30.5 points with season-best times in the 60 Meters at 7.6 seconds and the 60 Hurdles at 8.68 seconds. She was also the runner-up in the 200 at 25.24 seconds and ran the second leg of the victorious 4x400 Relay which posted a time of 3:54.1.
The Fire swept the relays also taking top honors in the 4x800 with
Jillian Blaser,
Brianna Sheppard,
Grace Feder, and
Natalie Rohm clocking a 9:29.22.
Grace Carpenter, Chelsee Martino,
Kaitlyn Vorkapich, and
Kathy Macedo won the Distance Medley Relay in 13:50.58.
Feder was second in the 800 in 2:23.64 and in the 1000 in 3:03.68. She was the mile champion in 5:26.97.
Oluwafikayomi Lawrence was the 400 Meter Champion in 57.56 and
Ar'Briel Scott was third in 59.46. Scott was the runner up in the 60 Hurdles in nine seconds flat.
Ashlyn Poulin posted a new meet record in the 3000 Race Walk in 15:05.32.
In the field events, Aubrey Sellers was the Pole Vault champion, clearing 2.87 meters. The Fire swept the podium with
Sophia Bou second at 2.6 and
Amari Graham third at 2.15.
Emma Terry was the Weight Throw champion at 15.28 meters.
Martino and Rohm were 1-2 in the Pentathlon with totals of 2,968 and 2,956, respectively.
