LAKELAND, Fla. — Ashlyn Poulin is trading the Fire red for the red, white, and blue this weekend. The decorated rising senior will represent Team USA at the 2026 NACAC (North American, Central American and Caribbean Athletic Association) U23 Championships in Mexico.
Poulin will pull on the USA uniform to compete in the U23 Women's 5,000-meter race walk. The event is scheduled to take place at the Estadio Una Nueva Historia in Apizaco, Tlaxcala, Mexico. The race is set for this Saturday, July 11th, at 9:15 a.m. local time (11:15 a.m. EDT).
A native of Gardiner, Maine, Poulin has cemented herself as a national powerhouse during her three years in Lakeland. She has secured NAIA All-American honors in all six of her national championship appearances, never finishing lower than seventh across three indoor and three outdoor campaigns. Poulin has dominated the Sun Conference as the reigning three-time Sun Conference Champion in both the indoor 3,000-meter and outdoor 5,000-meter race walk.
