LEESBURG, Fla. - The team of
Andrew Ready and
Trey Garrett took home first place, as the Fire bass fishing team competed in their first event of the season last weekend at Harris Chain.
Ready and Garrett placed first after finishing with 41.38 pounds, with Ready snagging the biggest catch of the tournament at over six pounds. With the win, the pair qualify for the 2025 Bassmaster College National Championship.Â
The team of
Brant Langley and
Cody Morgan placed third with 28.57 pounds, while
Diego Alea and
Michael Teate placed ninth with 15.49 pounds.Â
The team returns to action January 25-30 when they travel to Lake Okeechobee in Clewiston, Fla. for the Bassmaster Lunkers Trail tournament. Â
