Baseball Completes Four-Game Sweep of Iowa Wesleyan

LAKELAND, Fla.—Southeastern finished its weekend series with Iowa Wesleyan by taking the final two games by the scores of 26-0 and 13-1.
 
Robb Adams improved to 2-0 on the season with five shutout innings on the mound in the first game, recording eight strikeouts and allowed just one hit and hit one batter in just 60 pitches.
 
Stephen Cullen homered in the second and fourth innings and also had a three-run double in the first for a seven-RBI day, going 3-for-4 with three runs scored.
 
David Castillo drove in three with a triple in the fourth. Adonys Herrera, Gary Lora, Jose Marcano, Nicholas Block, Nick Winkelmeyer, and Michael Haydak all had two RBIs each.
 
Block and Lora each had a home run in the game.
 
Chayce Bryant had a three-run homer in the third and Adrian Mella had one in the fourth to help power the offense in the second game. Block added a two-run triple in the third, finishing the game 3-for-4 with two runs scored. Herrera was also 3-for-4 with two runs scored. Josh Pigozzo added a 2-for-2 effort.
 
JJ Sanchez improved to 2-0 with four no-hit innings on the mound with seven strikeouts, a walk, and a hit batsman.
 
The Fire return to action on Tuesday against the University of St. Francis.
