Biography

GRADUATE (2025): Due to offseason surgery, Castillo’s final year was limited. However, this did not stop him from returning and taking over as the starting catcher. He batted .323, with 23 hits in 71 at bats, driving home 21 runs and hitting four homers. He made his presence felt against Ave Maria in the Sun Conference Tournament Second Round. Hitting two home runs over the Monster at jetBlue Park, driving home six runs, scoring twice himself, and walked once.

JUNIOR (2024): Castillo started 41 of the 47 games he saw time in. He notched a team high .346 batting average in those games, with 53 hits in 153 at bats with 27 RBIs and four home runs. The catcher finished the season with a .457 on base percentage thanks to 24 walks and being hit by eight pitches. Against #19 Benedictine Mesa (AZ), he recorded two RBIs on 3-for-5 hitting with a double in Southeastern’s 11-4 victory. In a 14-1 win over Warner, he went 4-for-4 with five RBIs and a home run, and scored twice. His play was awarded with First-Team All-Sun Conference and he earned a spot on the Sun Conference All-Tournament team.

PREVIOUS SCHOOL: Second Team All-Conference at Chipola College in 2021 after playing in 40 games. Posted a .308 batting average with 20 RBI's and a .442 slugging percentage.

PERSONAL: Son of Axel and Sara. Favorite food is rice and beans with chicken. Favorite movie is Iron Man. Favorite television show is Big Bang Theory. Part of the Panama World Cup National Team in 2012 and 2015. Favorite team is the Boston Red Sox and his favorite athlete is Salvador Perez. High School Coach was Lazaro Fundora. Favorite Bible verse is Psalm 23.
