Women’s Tennis Drops Match to No. 4 Generals

Box Score MOBILE, Ala.—In their fifth-straight match against a Top 25 team, the Fire were on the short end of a 5-2 contest against No. 4 LSU Alexandria.
 
The doubles point went to the Generals with a 6-2 win at the top flight and a 7-5 win at the second. Irene Lopez and Neleah Neiberline won their match at Line 3, 6-3.
 
Martina Picardi was a 6-2, 6-2 winner at the top singles spot and Micah Sypert was a 6-1, 6-4 winner at the second singles spot to get the Fire on the board.
 
The Fire will continue the streak of ranked opponents by facing No. 5 Xavier University (La.) Sunday at 10 a.m.
