Biography
SENIOR (2024-25): Lopez had her season hampered by injury, but overcame and turned in an impressive season. Her singles play reflected a 11-3 record, and doubles showed 14 wins in 18 matches. She bounced between lines three, four, five, and six of singles, ranking as high as #49 in the NAIA, and winning her last six singles matches of the season not allowing more than three games won per set. Doubles was where she made the biggest impression, teaming up with three different teammates. With Carlotta Nonnis Marzano, they made school history as the highest ranked NAIA Doubles team in school history, finishing the season as the #7 doubles team in the NAIA and earned ITA NAIA All-American Doubles Team. Her in-season play was also recognized as she secured Second-Team All-Sun Conference honors, as well as Sun Conference and NAIA Women’s Tennis Player of the Week in the same week.
JUNIOR (2024): Lopez racked up seven wins in both singles and doubles, going 7-4 in line five and six singles, and finishing 7-7 in flights one and three of doubles. She picked up a critical 6-4, 7-6 win in line six singles over second-seeded SCAD-Savannah in the Sun Conference Tournament to push the Fire through to the finals. In doubles, she played matches alongside Maria Martinez, Flaminia Guidantoni, Simone Simas, and Neleah Neiberline. In the NAIA National Tournament Second Round, she scored a pivotal 7-5 comeback win in flight three over tenth-seeded Westcliff.
