MIAMI GARDENS, Fla- The Fire wrestling team came out strong winning their first team dual of the season against the St. Thomas University Bobcats, 32-10.
Tanner Kuketz got things started for the Fire with the first fall of the night, giving the Fire their first lead of the night.
Chris Kelly and
Andreus Bond both won back to back sets by decision shortly after, extending the lead for the Fire.
Noah Gallardo and
Jeff Geller had two big technical falls in their matches, Gallardo winning by 16 and Geller by 15.
The Fire ended the night with a fall from
Gabe Jacobs, just over a minute into his match, giving the wrestling team the 32-10 win.
The wrestling team travels next to Franklin Springs, Ga. to participate in the Georgia Open on November 12th.
