HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla.—The Southeastern University men's golf team was second at the Keiser Kup, hosted at Mission Inn Resort's El Campeon Course.
SEU posted a 54-hole team score of 912 (302-303-307) to finish 24 shots behind top-ranked Keiser.
The sixth-ranked Fire were 10 shots clear of No. 4 Coastal Georgia and 12 shots past No. 2 USCB.
Individually,
Matthew Soucinek and
Noah Endicott tied for sixth with a total score of 224. Soucinek shot a one-over 73 in the first round and followed with a 75 in the second. Through 10 holes on Tuesday, Soucinek was three under and held the lead, but ran into trouble on his 14
th through 16
th holes of the day and finished the round four over.
Endicott opened with an even-par 72 and closed with rounds of 75 and 77.
Nick Zarillo was tied for 14
th with a total of 229 (75-77-77) and
James Preston was tied for 29
th with a total of 235 (82-76-77).
Christopher Greenberry rounded out the roster in 54
th with a total of 262.
The Fire close the fall portion of the schedule next Monday and Tuesday at the Coqui Classic in Puerto Rico.
