Lakeland, Fla.- The Southeastern University volleyball team will look to carry their momentum from a 3-1 weekend into their two match week. The Fire are set to take on the College of Coastal Georgia in Brunswick, Georgia on October 28
th at 7 p.m. and will also face off against Life University on Saturday, October 31
st at 10 a.m. at home.

After a successful 3-1 weekend at the Life University Running Eagles Classic, the Fire advanced their overall record to 4-8 on the season (1-7 TSC). Junior middle
Jordyn Stiger had an impressive weekend with 40 total kills and 9 blocks while senior
Emily Boehlein recorded 26 kills and six blocks.

The Fire and the Mariners last met earlier this season on September 23
rd when the Mariners were able to sneak past the Fire in five sets to extend their overall history record to 10-6 over the Fire. Junior
Maggie Seagren led the team with a season high 17 kills in the matchup and
Emily Eurice recorded a season high 41 assists. Eurice had the best four game stretch of her career this weekend after recording 120 assists while also contributing defensively with 11 digs against Middle Georgia State.

Seagren has shown her versatility this season as she has recorded 69 total kills an outside hitter while also seeing time at setter where she has recorded 43 assists. Not only has Seagren been a key contributer to the Fire offense, she also has been a sparkpug for the Fire defense with 134 digs.

The Coastal Georgia Mariners currently hold a record of 10-4 (6-4 TSC) and are coming off of a 3-0 loss to the Ave Maria Gyrenes. The Mariners are led by junior outside hitter Giovana Larregui who has recorded a total of 240 kills this season including a career high 20 kills her last match.

SEU will then return home to take on Life University on Saturday, October 31
st at 10 a.m in a rematch from the Fire's only loss this past weekend. Against Life, the Fire were able to take the first set 25-22 from their undefeated opponent but were unable to cling to their first set victory after Life took the next three consecutive sets. For Life, sophomore Lena Pucnik was the offensive sparkplug recording 19 kills.
