Women's Golf Donnie Smith

Women’s Golf Finishes Eighth at Nationals

SILVIS, Ill.—Southeastern placed eighth at the 2024 NAIA Women's Golf National Championship after posting a team score of 314 in Friday's final round.
 
The Fire finished with a 72-hole team score of 1260. Keiser won the event with a total of 1194.
 
Individually, Marlie Smit was 25th with a total of 310, closing with her best 18-hole score of the week on Friday with a three-over 75. Sophomore Alejandra Cuellar was 30th after a 77 in the final round and finished the week with a total of 313.
 
Sophomore Madelyn Campbell closed the week with a 79 to finish with a total of 318 for 44th place. She birdied back-to-back holes on the Back 9 and played the back at one-under for the day.
 
Freshman Lauren Hosier placed 63rd at 326 with an 86 in the final round and Maria Stephens was 64th at 328 after an 83 on Friday.
