Men’s Golf Up Two Spots after Conference Title

LAKELAND, Fla.—Southeastern moved into eighth in the final NAIA Men's Golf Coaches' Top 25 Poll, released Friday afternoon ahead of the NAIA Championship field of 156 players.
 
By winning The Sun Conference Championship for the first time since 2013, the Fire secured a spot in the field and will head to the Dalton Golf and Country Club for a 72-hole tournament which starts on Tuesday, May 21st.
 
Six of the seven Sun Conference teams earned a spot in the championship field. Keiser was the highest ranked among them at second followed by Southeastern. St. Thomas is 14th, Coastal Georgia 16th, Webber International 21st, and Ave Maria 24th.
 
Southeastern was the only team among that group to move up. Ave Maria and Coastal Georgia moved down a spot and the rest remained the same.
 
Tee times and pairings for the first round will be released on Monday.
