LAKELAND, Fla.—Southeastern moved to 5-1 in Sun Conference play and 12-3 overall with a 4-0 win over Coastal Georgia on Friday in its penultimate home match of the season.
The win was also the fifth at home in as many tries.
In doubles play,
Ingrid Montserrat and
Flaminia Guidantoni improved to 8-2 on the year with a 6-1 win at Line 2.
Maria Martinez and
Irene Lopez improved to 3-1 together with a 6-2 win at Line 3 to secure the point.
Martina Picardi and Simon Simas' match went unfinished at the top flight at 4-4.
Montserrat was first off the court in singles play at Line 5 with a 6-2, 6-0 win to push the lead to two and improve her record to 10-1. Guidantoni scored her ninth win of the year with a 6-0, 6-3 win at Line 3 and Lopez ended the day with her sixth win of the year with a 6-2, 7-5 win in the sixth flight.
The Fire will play SCAD Savannah tomorrow at noon for their final conference match of the season.
