Southeastern track and field concluded the weekend with several NAIA "A" Standards after a busy two meet weekend at the FSU Relays and UCF Invite in Orlando.
On Thursday in Tallahassee, Cameron Guadiano tied his college best in the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 14.18, a NAIA "A" Standard time. Guadiano also finished fourth overall in the men's 400 meter hurdles, posting an NAIA "B" Standard time of 54.10.
Junior James Williamson III finished fifth in the 200 meter dash, running an NAIA "A" Standard of 21.17.
In the 400 meter dash, senior Joseph Taylor recorded the sixth fastest time in the NAIA. He placed fourth with an NAIA "A" Standard of 47.72, followed by another "A" standard from teammate Davien Worrels with a time of 47.75.Â
The men's 4x100 meter relay grabbed a first place finish, running a time of 41.10, an NAIA "B" Standard. The relay included James Williamson III, Joseph Taylor, Cameron Alamia, and Davien Worrels.Â
For the women, junior Irmiris Mendez took 11th in the women's 100 meter hurdles, posting a NAIA "B" Standard of 14.43, the fifth fastest time in the NAIA this season. Ar'Briel Scott finished 14th with a time of 14.63, which is the ninth fastest time recorded in the NAIA this year.
Another NAIA "B" Standard was recorded by Chelsee Martino in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 1:04.71.Â
The action continued on Friday in Orlando as Vincent Lopez posted a NAIA "B" Standard time of 54.32 in the 400 meter hurdles at the UCF Invite.Â
John Perez-Dunn had a great showing in the men's 3000 meter steeplechase, running a college PR of 9:16.73, which took second place at the UCF Invite and ranks No. 1 in the NAIA this season.Â
The men's 4x400 meter relay ran the fastest time in the NAIA with a time of 3:12.08. The relay squad included Worrels, Guadiano, Williamson III, and Taylor.Â
For the women, the relays had a great showing at the UCF Invite. The 4x400 meter relay ran a NAIA "A" Standard with a time of 3:49.92, placing them sixth. The relay included Scott, Mendez, Chelsee Martino, and Oluwafikayomi Lawrence. This time is the third fastest recorded in the NAIA so far this season.
The women's 4x100 meter relay finished eighth and ran the fifth fastest time in the NAIA this season at 47.62 seconds. The relay consisted of Scott, Lawrence, Ariyah Smith, and Mendez.Â
