Beach Volleyball Drops Opener

SAINT LEO, Fla.—The Fire were on the short side of a 5-0 loss at St. Leo University to open up their 2024 beach volleyball season on Wednesday.
 
The Lions took all five matches in two sets.
 
In the top flight, Sylvia Liszewski and Grace Petty forced extra points in the second set after dropping the first before falling 27-25. Jenna Rogers and Kennedy Jones put together a solid showing in the fourth flight, falling 21-14, 21-10.
 
The Fire will begin Sun Conference play next Friday in Miami against St. Thomas and Florida Memorial.
