Box Score MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – Southeastern University used an 11-2 run over the final three minutes to seal a 76-64 victory over St. Thomas University in Sun Conference women's basketball action this evening.
The Fire finished all four quarters strong to maintain the lead throughout the game, but the Bobcats kept things close by hitting key shots to stay within range. After St. Thomas pulled within three points with 3:03 remaining, Amaya Coleman downed a 3-pointer and added a layup on the next possession to start the game-sealing run.
Tonight was a great team win, a product of the hard work the team put in this week at practice," said head coach Josh Epperson. "They did a great job playing our scout well, which led to forcing 22 turnovers. It's always great to put together back-to-back road wins in conference."
SEU received double-figure production from four of its five starters, led by Grace Field's 24-point, 10-rebound double-double. She made 9-of-15 field goals, including a three-pointer, and swiped two passes.

Coleman hit a pair of 3-pointers as part of her 15 points effort, along with five assists and five steals. Mya Herman shot 5-of-11 for 13 points, three steals, and a pair of assists, while Jodi Mullins added 12 points, three rebounds, and three assists.
The Fire bench saw all three of Alley Haas, Ariana Smuda, and Courtni Demorest contribute four points each. Smuda pulled in seven rebounds and blocked four shots. Demorest had four rebounds, and Haas pulled down two boards.
Sarci McGill of the Bobcats paced all scorers with 27 points and had nine rebounds.
With the win, the Fire improve to 6-2 (2-1 SUN), while the Bobcats drop their first game of the season, falling to 4-1 (0-1 SUN). It was the 10th straight win for the Fire at St. Thomas, who have not lost to the Bobcats on the road since January 3, 2015.
SEU returns to action on Tuesday when they travel to Life University. Tip-off for the Thanksgiving week matinee is at 2 p.m..
