LAKELAND, Fla. — Following a championship-winning season, the Southeastern University women's basketball program has officially released its schedule for the upcoming 2026-27 campaign.

The Fire enter the year coming off an exceptional 28-4 overall record last season under the leadership of Coach Joshua Epperson. In his second year with the Fire, Epperson guided the team to both the Sun Conference Regular Season Championship and the Sun Conference Tournament Championship. SEU defeated Faulkner in the first round of the NAIA National Tournament, marking the program's first national tournament win since the 2021-22 season.

An experienced backcourt and the reigning Sun Conference Freshman of the Year highlight the returning production. Senior point guard Mafalda Chambel returns to direct the offense after starting 31 games and leading both the team and the conference with 132 assists. Perimeter threat Alley Hass, a junior shooting guard, returns after a stellar season where she shot 41.9 percent from three-point range. Sophomore forward Sarah Davis also returns after finishing third in the Sun Conference in three-point percentage at 38.1 percent and ranking ninth in the league with 40 made three-pointers, earning Sun Conference Freshman of the Year.

The regular season opens in the furnace on October 22 against Georgia Southern - East Georgia Campus. The Fire's non-conference schedule features several marquee matchups against national powerhouses. Highlighting the home non-conference slate is a premier matchup against No. 6 Saint Francis (Ind.) inside The Furnace on Saturday, December 12. Following the Christmas break, the Fire will hit the road for a highly anticipated Top 25 test at No. 18 Spring Arbor at the Governors State Classic on Monday, December 28.

Sun Conference action inside The Furnace begins on December 2 as SEU hosts Warner at 5:30 p.m. Following the holiday break, the Fire return home for four consecutive conference matchups, opening the new year against St. Thomas on January 2 at 2 p.m.

One of the marquee home matchups comes on January 16, when the Fire host Webber International at 2 p.m. in a rematch of last season's Sun Conference Championship game. Southeastern closes its home conference slate on February 13 with a 2 p.m. contest against Ave Maria.

The Sun Conference Tournament will be hosted by the highest seed from the regular season. The Tournament will begin on February 23 and conclude on the 27th.
