GAINESVILLE, Fla.—Southeastern freshman
Ashlyn Poulin moved up the national rankings with a new program record time in the 3,000 Meter Race Walk on Saturday.
Poulin was the lone competitor and posted a time of 15:27 to shave three seconds off her previous best time and recorded the sixth-fastest time in the NAIA this season.
Freshman Aubrey Sellers set a new program record in the Pole Vault on the women's side, clearing 3.02 on her final attempt. Sellers cleared her first four heights on her first attempts and finished fourth in the field.
Irmiris Mendez was fifth in the 60 Meter Dash in a time of 7.78 seconds. Mendez also placed fifth in the Pentathlon with a total of 2,561 points.
On the men's side,
Davien Worrels won the 200 Meter Dash in an NAIA 'A' Standard time of 21.58 seconds and
James Williamson III was second in 21.85.
Cameron Alamia was fourth in 21.91.
Worrels added a third-place finish in the 400 Meters in 48.93. Williamson was fifth in the 60 Meter Dash in 6.92 seconds.
The Distance Medley Relay team of Jonathan Fitzgerlad,
James Turner,
Andrew Carrera, and
Jacob Delong took the top spot in the field at 10:53.
Turner placed third in the 600 Meters in 1:24.61 and Carrera was fifth in 1:26.34.
Cameron Guadiano was the runner-up in the 60 Meter Hurdles in a time of 8.42.
The Fire will return to Gainesville next Friday to compete at the Alachua County Collegiate Invitational.
