PALM HARBOR, Fla.—Southeastern put together the second-best 18-hole score as a team during the final round of the Innisbrook Invitational to finish fourth.
The Fire bounced back from rounds of 304 and 309 on Monday to post a 291 on Tuesday, trailing only SCAD's 290 on Tuesday for the best single round team score of the tournament.
Eckerd won the event with a total of 887, Followed by Keiser at 893, SCAD at 896, and SEU at 904.
Sophomore
Madelyn Campbell was the highest finisher for Southeastern in a tie for 12
th. She was an even-par 71 after 18 holes and held a share of the lead and finished with rounds of 80 and 74.
Junior
Marlie Smit tied for 16
th after opening with an 81, but closed with rounds of 75 and 71.
Maria Stephens was a shot back in a tie for 18
th with a total of 228 (76-78-74).
Alejandra Cuellar was tied for 25
th with a total of 231 (80-76-75) and
Lauren Hosier rounded out the lineup in a tie for 31
st with a total of 233 (77-84-72).
The Fire will next compete in the Carey Collegiate next Monday and Tuesday at Canebrake Country Club in Hattiesburg, Miss.
