BRUNSWICK, Ga.—A six-match win streak came to an end on Friday for the Southeastern men's tennis team.
The Fire dropped a 4-1 contest to top-ranked Keiser in The Sun Conference Championship match to fall to 17-4 on the year.
Three of SEU's four losses came to teams ranked first or second nationally.
The lone point for the Fire came at No. 1 Singles from
Christian Garay who was a 6-3, 6-3 winner. His doubles match with
Diego Menendez against fifth-ranked Didrick Liljekvist and Gaston Cantero was unfinished after being tied 4-4
Guido Luna's No. 5 Singles match was also unfinished after Luna took the first set and dropped the second.
Federico Barbon bounced back from dropping the first set 6-4 to win the second 6-3.
The Fire will now wait for the NAIA National Tournament draw to find out their next opponent.
