LAKE WORTH, Fla.—The timing was bad for Southeastern's highest score of The Sun Conference Championship on Tuesday.
The Fire posted a team score of 314 to finish fifth behind Coastal Georgia by four shots, which posted a 303 in the final round.
Marlie Smit finished as the runner-up with a third-round score of 74 and a 54-hole total of 219 missing medalist honors to SUN Player of the Year Hoi Ki Lau by three shots.
Maria Stephens was 16
th with a total of 234 (77-78-79).
Alejandra Cuellar finished 22
nd with a total of 244 (79-83-82) with
Madelyn Campbell a shot behind her in a tie for 23
rd after closing the tournament with a 79.
Hallie Riley rounded out the lineup in 25
th place with a total of 247 (82-78-87).
