Fire Finish Fall Strong with Runner-Up Performance at Jupiter Collegiate

Espinosa fires final-round 68 as Southeastern places second behind Keiser

JUPITER, Fla. -- The SEU Women's Golf team wrapped up its fall season on a high note, earning a second-place finish at the Jupiter Collegiate Invitational hosted at Jonathan's Landing Golf Club in Jupiter, Florida. Competing on a par-70 course, the Fire posted a three-round team total of 877 (+37), highlighted by a steady final-round 287 (+7) that locked in their runner-up standing behind Keiser University.

Mariana Espinosa led the way for Southeastern, firing a final-round 68 (-2) to climb into fourth place individually at +6 (216). Espinosa's closing score was one of the lowest rounds of the tournament, featuring a bogey-free back nine of 31. She finished among the top performers in par-3 scoring (+1) and par-5 scoring (-1) while collecting nine birdies, tied for sixth-most in the field.

Freshman Sadaly Campbell impressed once again in her debut season, finishing seventh at +7 (217) behind rounds of 71, 72, and 74. Campbell tied for second in par-3 scoring (3.07, +1) and recorded five birdies, continuing to display poise and consistency.

Senior Alejandra Cuéllar contributed a steady presence in the lineup, closing with a final-round 72 to place 11th at +13 (223). Cuéllar played the par-5s at even par and recorded five birdies, helping anchor Southeastern's scoring down the stretch.

Abbey Peterson and Emma Tobias each tied for 14th at +16 (226) to round out SEU's balanced effort. Tobias delivered one of the highlights of the tournament, carding an eagle on the par-4 14th hole during the second round, while both she and Peterson finished with seven birdies apiece. Peterson also excelled on par-5s, playing them at two under, which tied for fourth-best among all competitors.

The Fire ranked third in total birdies (33) and were the only team besides Keiser to have all five golfers finish inside the top 15. Southeastern's fall season concludes with strong momentum as the Fire now turn their focus toward the spring championship slate, carrying confidence and cohesion from one of their most complete team performances to date.
