BABSON PARK, Fla.- Southeastern University beach volleyball went 1-2 on the weekend in Babson Park to move to 6-6 on the season.

In the first match of the day, the Fire fell 2-3 to William Carey with wins at lines four and five.
Emily Eurice and
Chloe Rhodes combined for a win at line four with two set scores of 21-11 while
Emilia Harding and
Holly Kaczmarek won a closely-contested match at line five with scores of 24-22 and 21-17.

Against Loyola University, Southeastern strung together a 5-0 shutout with three of the five sets going to a tiebreaker set.

Alexandra Postlethwaite and
Grace Petty earned a win at line one in three sets after taking the first set 21-19 and dropping set two 21-10. In the tiebreaker set, the Fire duo took the 15-12 win for the first Fire point of the match.

At line two,
Katie Chillura and
Sylvia Liszewski took the win with set scores of 21-16 and 23-21 while line three saw
Ryanne VanWyk and
Kennedy Jones come out on the winning side of a three-set match. The Fire battled back after dropping the first set 21-11 to take the next two 21-13 and 15-9.

Eurice and Rhodes then were forced to work from behind at line four after dropping set one 21-19 as they took the next two 21-16 and 15-8 to secure their second win of the day.

Harding and Kaczmarek also earned their second win of the day at line five with scores of 21-15 and 21-18.

The Fire then dropped their third contest of the weekend to the University of Mobile by aa score of 4-1 with Petty and Postlethwaite taking the Fire's lone win at line one.
