Franklin Earns SUN Weekly Honors

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla.- In his first event of the outdoor season, Keishon Franklin has been named the Sun Conference Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week.
 
At the USF Bulls Invite, Franklin posted an 'A' Standard in the 400 Meters, winning the event with a time of 47.28 seconds over Texas freshman Chris Brinkley by just over a quarter of a second. He also posted a 'B' Standard in the 200 Meters and ran a leg of the runner-up 4x400 Relay team which lost only to Ohio State.
 
The Fire will next head to the UCF Knights Invitational in Orlando from Friday to Saturday.
