Box Score LAKELAND, Fla.- In their second match of the season, the No. 12 ranked Southeastern women's tennis team fell to Division I program, Stetson University, by a score of 7-0.
The Fire started off down 1-0 after dropping all three of their doubles matches by scores of 6-2, 6-3, and 6-1. At line two,
Martina Picardi and
Simone Simas gave the Hatters their toughest challenge, but fell 6-3 to give the Hatters the one-point lead heading into singles play.
The Hatters would then go on to cinch all six singles matches. At line two,
Micah Sypert had the most success against her opponent dropping her sets by scores of 6-2 and 6-4.
Southeastern will next compete against Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in Tifton, Ga. on February 24
th.
