LAKELAND, Fla.—Southeastern pulled off its second win in as many tournaments, holding off Ave Maria by one shot at Grasslands.
The Fire were pushed by the Gyrenes which carded a pair of school record team scores during the three rounds to win 861-862.
Matthew Soucinek was the medalist with an eight-under 208. In 54 holes, the graduate student carded 38 pars, 11 birdies, and an eagle posting rounds of 71, 65, and 72.
Freshman
Marley Read was second overall with a score of 211 with 10 birdies. Read posted scores of 71, 67, and 73.
Sophomore
Zachary Shaw was 12
th with a total of 223 (68-79-76) and
Chris Greenberry was tied for 15
th at 225 (72-80-73).
Adam Crawley tied for 23
rd at 231 (81-78-72).
The Fire 'B' team was fifth in the field with
Nick Zarillo tied for ninth at 222,
