LAKELAND, Fla.- After a tough week that handed the No. 1 ranked Southeastern University two of their three losses on the season, the Fire will look to bounce back this week beginning with a home doubleheader against Florida National University on Tuesday and concluding with a road Sun Conference series against Florida Memorial University in Miami Gardens.

The 38-3 Fire will take on the Conquistadors for the second time this season after the Fire completed a sweep of FNU earlier in the season with scores of 16-4 and 21-0.

The Conquistadors begin the week with a 5-34 record with three of their five wins coming against Sun Conference opponents.

Collectively, the Conquistadors have posted a .243 average and 135 runs in 39 games and is led by Daniel Rodriguez who has posted a .346 average with five doubles and two home runs for a slugging percentage of .467. On the mound, Brandon Torres has gone the distance for FNU with a team leading 84.2 innings, 3-3 record, and 7.21 ERA.

Florida Memorial has registered a 21-16 overall record and 9-9 SUN record and are coming off of their best series of the year after taking two out three from the No. 7 ranked St. Thomas University on the road by scores of 13-6 and 4-3.

As a team, the Lions have accumulated an average of .311 with an average of 7.2 runs scored per game. Rohandry Javier leads the way for the Lions offense with a .383 average, 40 runs scored, and 28 stolen bases while Luiz Ruis leads the team in hits with 47. On the mound, Max Charmin has collected the most innings at 45.2 and also leads the staff in strikeouts at 45, starts at 12, and an overall record of 4-3.

The top ranked Fire leads the NAIA in multiple categories including runs (417), hits (494), home runs (75), batting average (.367), on base percentage (.460), slugging percentage (.615), and more. Offensively, the Fire have three different hitters with an average of above .400 with
Abdel Guadalupe posting a .425,
Gary Lora hitting .421, and
Brian Fuentes leading the way with a .442. Guadalupe and Fuentes have both collected 15 home runs on the season which ties them for first in the NAIA with Fuentes ranking third nationally in RBI's with 58.

The Fire pitching staff has also been nearly untouchable with
Robb Adams leading the NAIA in wins (11), complete games (4), shutouts (4), strikeouts (88), and ERA (.59) as he has allowed just five earned runs through 76 innings pitched while
Drew Gillespie holds a perfect 7-0 record.
