Men’s Tennis Rolls Past Huntington

Box Score LAKELAND, Fla.- The No. 19 Southeastern University Fire men's tennis team took down the Huntington University Foresters 6-1 on Thursday afternoon to win their fourth-straight match.


The Fire swept the Foresters in all three lines of doubles' play to take a 1-0 lead. Theodor Preiswerk and Nadal Nicolau clinched the point with a 6-2 win at line three.

Christian DellaCioppa put the Fire ahead 2-0 with a  victory in straight sets at line six, dropping just a single game.

SEU went ahead 3-0 with a two-set win at line two by Federico Barbon.

Roy Stepanov clinched the victory for Southeastern with a straight set win at the top singles' line, winning the second set 7-6 via tiebreaker.

Diego Menendez and Preiswerk picked up two-set wins at lines four and five respectively.


The SEU men and women continue Sun Conference play this Saturday in Brunswick versus the College of Coastal Georgia Mariners at 2:00 p.m.
