LAKELAND, Fla.—Southeastern University junior Parker Dobrocky was selected as the Appalachian Athletic Conference Wrestler of the Week for his performance over the first two weeks of the season.
Dobrocky won his first match at Southeastern with a fall in 1:40 during a dual against St. Andrews. Over the weekend, the Anoka, Minn. native took first at the Patriot Open in the 141-pound Open bracket which included three victories against Top 25 opponents.
He defeated No. 17 Logan Wagner of Marian with a 12-5 decision in this first match of the tournament and knocked off fourth-ranked Bryce Nickel in the semifinal with a 10-4 decision. In the championship, Dobrocky was a 9-2 winner over Cumberlands' Chasen Brown who is ranked 16
th.
