LAKELAND, Fla.- Coming off a Top 25 upset victory over No. 18 Georgetown last week, the Southeastern University women's basketball team (4-4, 2-1 SUN) will face two Sun Conference opponents this week as they host Webber International on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. and end the week with a road contest against Warner University on Saturday at 2 p.m.
 
Southeastern has caught fire as of late, taking three of their last four contests with their one loss coming against No. 1 ranked Thomas More.
 
The Fire have converted 40% of their shots from midrange and 30.5% of their shots from distance for an average of 77.5 points per contest. Heavily aiding the offense has been 
Gabby Suarez who holds a team-high 151 points for an average of 18.9 per contest and 
Raegan Linster who currently averages a double-double with 18.1 points per contest and 10 rebounds per contest. Suarez also leads the Fire in assists while 
Emilia Sexton tops the Fire in steals with 23.
 
After a 1-5 start to their season, the Webber Warriors are coming off an 84-71 loss to No. 16 University of Rio Grande and are searching for their first Sun Conference victory as they are currently 0-2 in conference play.
 
Opponents currently hold a nine-point scoring margin over the Warriors as they average 56.7 points per game, shooting 34% from the field and just 26% from three-point range. Jaida Burgess leads the scoring with 86 points, 26 of which have come via the free throw. Samantha Pacheco has been the top rebounder, grabbing 39 for an average of 6.5 per game. Pacheco also leads the Warriors in assists with 25.
 
Coming in with a 3-4 overall record and 1-2 SUN record, the Royals are looking to get back in the win column after dropping back-to-back contests including a narrow 56-54 loss to St. Thomas last week.
 
Averaging nearly 62 points per game, the Royals have posted a field goal percentage of 39.6% and a free throw percentage of 72.3% as they average nearly 15 free throws per game. Chanelle McDonald sits as the leading scorer for the Royals without taking a shot from distance all season as she has recorded 96 points off a .462 midrange percentage. McDonald also captains the defense with 68 total rebounds for an average of 9.7 per game. Jasmine Edwards sits closely behind McDonald with 90 points and a .468 field goal percentage and holds a team-best 24 assists.
