LAKELAND, Fla.- Week two for the No. 6 ranked Southeastern University women's basketball team (1-0) will consist of two contests at the SSAC/Sun Conference Challenge hosted by Webber International. On Friday, the Fire will face their first ranked opponent of the season in No. 17 Loyola University at 1 p.m. and will face Stillman College on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. to conclude the tournament.

In their first contest last week, the Fire defeated Point University on the road by a score of 96-77 behind a 35-point effort from graduate, Gabby Suarez. Collectively, the Fire shot .49% from the field and .44% from three-point range to take the game-one victory. Anja Knoflach totaled six rebounds while also shooting 54% from the field for 16 points.

The No. 17 Wolf Pack of Loyola New Orleans have yet to compete in a countable contest this season with the SSAC being their first look at outside competition. Last season, the Wolf Pack accumulated a 23-6 record and earned a trip to the NAIA National Championship Opening Round Tournament where they were bested in the championship by Carrol College 65-59. Fifth year Kennedy Hansberry returns to the Wolf Pack after leading the offense last season with 400 total points and a field goal percentage of .437. Also retuning is the Wolf Pack's second leading scorer Tay Cannon who registered 384 points and a .527 field goal percentage. Defensively, Sandra Cannady will look to aid in the Wolf Pack's success after leading the team in rebounds last season with 202.

The Fire hold a historical record of 3-0 against the Wolf Pack with the last contest coming in 2021 when the Fire took the narrow 65-60 victory.

Stillman College holds a 1-0 record to open the season after an 87-63 victory over Oakwood University on the road last week. Returning this season for the Tigers are their two leading scorers from last season Laneja Warner and Jamesha King who concluded the season with 243 points and 193 points. King also led the team in rebounds with 158.

This will be the first meeting between the Fire and the Tigers.
