LAKELAND, Fla.- After a week with two Sun Conference wins over Florida Memorial and Ave Maria, the No. 2 ranked Southeastern University woman's basketball team will look forward to two more SUN matchups this week at home. The Fire will first take on Thomas University at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday and will round out the week with a contest against the College of Coastal Georgia on Saturday at 5 p.m.

The Night Hawks of Thomas University come into the contest with a 1-14 record (1-8 SUN) and will look to break a 12 game losing streak after their most recent game ended with an 87-54 loss to Keiser University. The unit has struggled offensively as they currently average 53.9 points per game behind a field goal percentage of 37% and three point percentage of 25.9%. Ball control has also been a downfall of the Night Hawk's play as opponents have forced nearly 19 Night Hawk turnovers a game. Destiny Reed leads the team offensively and defensively with 180 points and an average of 12.9 per contest and 72 rebounds.

The last meeting between these two teams resulted in the Fire's largest margin of victory this season as they defeated the Night Hawks with a 124-41 lopsided victory.
Haley Howarth had a team and season high 30 points after going 8-11 from distance while
Angela Perry recorded 28 points through 27 minutes on the court.

The Mariners of Coastal Georgia begin the week matching the Night Hawk's 1-8 SUN record and an overall record of 5-14 and are coming off of a tight 66-63 loss over Keiser University. Through 19 games, the Mariners average 65.1 points per game and are shooting 36.2% from the field. Junior Kaliyah Little is the team's leading scorer through 14 games with 191 points and 13.3 points per game while Sonia Forney leads the Mariners defensively with 95 rebounds.

The Fire will look to keep their perfect SUN record as they come into the week with an overall record of 20-1 and 9-0 in conference play. Offensively, the Fire have been nearly unstoppable as they rank No. 2 in the nation in field goal percentage (49.0) and three point percentage (39.1) and currently average 84.3 points per game.

Perry has been the top performer for the Fire as she has registered 390 points behind a 57.3 field goal percentage as well as 133 rebounds and 29 blocks.
Tahanee Bennell and
Marta Aranda have also been key contributors to the Fire's success this season with Bennell registering a team high 82 assists and Aranda grabbing 61 steals.
Leilah Vigil has been effective as of recently after registering 14 points and 11 rebounds to grab her first double-double of the season in the Fire's last contest against Ave Maria.
