Box Score MOBILE, Ala.—The Southeastern University men's tennis team tied its national championship first round match with Grace twice but were unable to get the lead in a 4-2 loss to #16 seed Grace.
The Lancers won the doubles point with a 6-1 win at Line 1 and a 6-2 win at Line 3. In single play, Alex D'Aboville scored a 6-2, 6-2 win at No. 4 singles over Fabricio Galvan to knot the match at one. Grace got back on top with a straight-sets win at No. 3, but the Fire answered with a 6-1, 6-4 win by
Felipe Barbosa at No. 5.
Grace closed the match with a 6-3, 6-3 win at No. 1 and a 6-1, 6-3 win at No. 2.
Tyler Glowaki's No. 6 Singles match went unfinished after Glowaki won the first set 7-5 and was up 3-1 in the second.
The season ends with an 8-7 overall record with six of the seven losses to teams in the Top 16 and two Top 25 victories.
