Box Score Brunswick, Ga.- The No. 21 Southeastern University men's tennis team saw their historic run in The Sun Conference Tournament come to an end Friday morning, as the third-seeded Fire fell to the top-seeded Keiser University Seahawks 4-0 to finish as The 2021 TSC Tournament Runners-Up.
The Fire came out impassioned in their first ever appearance in the TSC Final, however it was the Seahawks who set the tone in doubles' play. Keiser took the top two lines of doubles by scores of 6-1 each to take an early 1-0 lead over the Fire.
Keiser asserted itself to a 3-0 lead in singles' play after capturing two-set victories at lines six (6-0, 6-1) and four (6-1, 6-2).
The Seahawks clinched the match at the top line in two sets. After dropping the first set 6-2, sophomore
Enrique Martinez pushed his KU opponent Luke Simkiss in the second set, but ultimately fell 6-4.
The Fire now wait to see if they will receive an at-large berth to the NAIA Men's Tennis National Championship Tournament in Mobile, Alabama May 18-22.
