Women’s Tennis Struggles with No. 20 Ave Maria

Box Score LAKELAND, Fla.—Southeastern dropped to 2-3 in Sun Conference play and 5-6 overall with a 6-1 loss to Ave Maria Monday afternoon.
 
The 20^th ranked Gyrenes won at No. 1 and No. 3 Doubles to take a 1-0 lead to singles play. Priscila Baptista and Abigail Damon scored a 7-6 (7-5) win at No. 2 Doubles for SEU.
 
In singles play, Baptista was a 6-4, 6-3 winner at No. 3 for the lone point for the Fire.
 
Southeastern returns to the courts on Saturday against Webber International.
