Box Score GAINESVILLE, Ga.- On a day where inclement cold weather forced the tennis to be played indoors, the No. 22 Southeastern University women's tennis team fell to the No. 8 and 2019 NAIA National Quarterfinalist Brenau University Tigers 6-1. This marks the first defeat of the season for SEU.
The Tigers earned the doubles' point versus SEU with a pair of 6-3 victories at the top-two lines. The duo of
Priscila Baptista and
Mia Dunagan battled hard at the No. 3 position, coming up just short 7-5 in the tiebreaker.
Baptista improved to 4-0 on the season at the No. 5 singles' spot with an 8-6 win.
The Fire look to bounce back tomorrow as they remain in The Peach State for a match-up at the No. 19 SCAD-Atlanta Bees. Match time is set for 1:00 p.m.
