Box Score AVE MARIA, Fla. - The RV Southeastern men's tennis team remained undefeated in Sun Conference play as they beat Ave Maria 5-2 Saturday afternoon. The Fire have now won four straight.
Wins at #2 and #3 doubles got the Fire off to a good start, with a 1-0 lead heading into singles play.
Alexandre D'aboville was the catalyst for the Fire to commence singles' action, making quick work against AMU's best in two sets (6-4, 6-0).
Junior, Santiago Haas was successful today at No. 2 singles, beating his opponent 6-3 in both sets.
Enrique Martinez held off a strong first set from the Gyrenes at No. 4 singles, winning the first set 7-5 before a 6-4 win in the second.
Finishing the day for SEU at No. 6 was Alec Lichter, who battled to a 10-7 win in a third set super-tiebreaker of his own.
Southeastern will take the courts again on February 24th to play against Davenport University at the USA National Tennis Center.
