DAVENPORT, Fla.—The Fire women's golf team placed fourth at the GhampionsGate Spring Preview, hosted by Dalton State.
During Tuesday's final round, the Fire had their best score of the tournament at 311 after posting a 318 and 315 on Monday.
No. 1 Keiser won the tournament by 36 strokes over Taylor with Dalton State finishing third.
The Fire were led by senior
Ana Uribe's 13
th place finish, carding a 77 on Tuesday with scores of 76 and 80 during the first two rounds on Monday. She was two shots clear of teammate
Valentina Espinosa, who had her best round of the tournament on Tuesday with a five-over 77 to place 14
th.
Sophomore
Brianna Farrell was tied for 15
th with a score of 238 (82-78-78) and
Brooke Wetzel followed in a tie for 19
th with a 241 (82-80-79).
Ashlynn Joyner rounded out the roster in 23
rd with a score of 246 (84-77-85).
Gianna Piscitelli and
Annalee Barnett competed as individuals with Piscitelli placing 33
rd with a 260 (86-88-86) and Barnett 35th at 268 (93-85-90).
The Fire return to action at the Point Invitational on March 9
th.
