LAKELAND, Fla.—The RV Southeastern University men's tennis team is ready to hit the court again after a ten-day layoff since their scrimmage against Gustavus Adolphus College on February 5
th and haven't played in a countable match since January 25
th when they defeated St. Thomas 7-0. The Fire travel to Savannah, Ga. this week to face the SCAD-Savannah Bees on Saturday, February 15
th at 3:00 pm.
FIRE FOCUS:
- The Fire have won back-to-back matches since their season-opening loss to Florida National.
- Individually, Southeastern has only dropped one match when facing conference opponents this season.
- Senior Felipe Barbosa has led the Fire with a 3-0 record in singles play from the third position.
- In doubles matches, Santiago Haas and Alec Lichter are unbeaten with a 2-0 record from the third spot.
THE BEES:
- SCAD has gotten off to a slow start to their season entering this weekend's match with an 1-2 record. The lone win coming against Webber International.
- Sophomore Liam Stoica leads the Bees with a 2-1 record in singles play, including a 1-1 mark from the top position.
- SCAD returns five players from the team that went 1-9 on the season a year ago.
