LAKELAND, Fla.- After a tough 1-0 defeat on its home pitch against No. 6 Northwestern Ohio, the No. 4 Southeastern University women's soccer team looks to bounce back another pair of home contests. The Fire are set to open up Sun Conference play this week against Warner and Ave Maria.

FIRE FOCUS:
-Versus UNOH, Southeastern suffered its first outright loss at the SEU Soccer Complex with head coach
Randy Belli at the helm.
-SEU is 5-1 under Belli coming off a loss all-time.

Bania Duran has found the back of the net in three of her last four outings. Duran has also registered a pair of assists during that stretch.

-Kanu has netted 62 goals in Sun Conference play all-time.
WARNER ALL-TIME:
-The Fire hold the slight edge in the all-time series versus the Royals 10-8, although SEU has won five-straight in the series.
-Southeastern has not lost to Warner since 8/29/13.
-WU does hold the all-time scoring advantage over SEU 43-38.
-Kanu has netted six goals in three matches versus the Royals, including the lone goal in a 1-0 win last season.
Abby Leake is the only other member of the 2019 SEU roster to have ever netted a goal versus Warner.
AVE MARIA ALL-TIME:
-The Fire have never lost to the Gyrenes in program history, leading the all-time series 17-0 and having outscored Ave Maria 88-5 in those contests.
-Kanu has netted 14 goals in three career games versus Ave Maria, including back-to-back five-goal performance versus the Gyrenes in her last two games.
-Other members of the 2019 roster to have scored a goal versus AMU include
Aisha Solorzano,
Bania Duran, and
Isamar Duran.
THE ROYALS:
-After starting the season 0-5, Warner got in the win column with a 5-0 defeat of Trinity Baptist last week.
-Reigning Sun Conference Coach of the Year Payton Chitwood looks to guide his team back on track after a 13-9-2 2018 campaign in which they advanced to the TSC Quarterfinals.
-Freshman forward Maddie Manzke is coming off a hat trick against Trinity Baptist. Manzke leads the Royals with four tallies on the season.
-Warner has started three different goalkeepers through its first six games of the season.
THE GYRENES:
-After starting the season with a resounding 10-0 win over Talladega College, Ave Maria has lost six-straight, having been outscored 19-0 during that stretch.
-AMU looks to snap a 550-minute active season scoreless streak against SEU.
-Ave Maria will look to book its first trip to The Sun Conference Tournament for the first time since 2016 this season.
-Senior defender Hannah Lawrence leads the Gyrenes in points with eight. Lawrence has totaled three goals and two assists on the season.
